Frequently Asked Questions
Everything Parents Ask Us First
How our programs work, which subjects and exams we cover, how you will hear about your child's progress, and what happens when you book. If your question is not here, call us — we would rather talk it through.
Bloom Scholars provides personalized tutoring and coaching for students from Kindergarten through college level. We offer 1:1 academic tutoring, homeschool curriculum and instruction, standardized exam preparation, life skills coaching, and ADHD coaching. Rather than a one-size-fits-all model, we design an education plan around each child’s learning style, pace, interests, and personality.
Read our storyThere are three steps. First, every family begins with a 1:1 consultation and assessment where we get to know you and your child, answer your questions, and create a clear starting path — you choose a time that works best for your family. Second, after your consultation you will have a full understanding of our offerings and receive a personalized recommendation, then enroll in the program that best fits your child. Third, your child begins sessions and you receive personalized parent support along the way.
Book a consultationYes. Your initial consultation is free. It is where we get to know your child, answer your questions, and map out a clear starting path before you commit to a program.
We typically respond to all inquiries within 24 business hours. You can call us at (915) 260-0753 or email hello@bloomscholars.org with details about your child and any questions you have.

We teach every core subject from Kindergarten through college level. Our certified educators align instruction with TEKS standards and adapt it to each student’s pace.
Language Arts and Literature, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Foreign Language (Spanish), and Test Preparation. See the full course catalogWe prepare students for the GED, SAT, ACT, AP exams, TSI, and ASVAB, and our course catalog also covers STAAR and TELPAS. The initial assessment includes a full-length practice exam with detailed score analysis, and we track scores against milestone goals from there. Rather than relying on high-pressure timed drills, we teach each concept step by step so students can solve problems independently.
Our ADHD-informed coaching is built around the child rather than expecting the child to fit a rigid system. It includes 1:1 support to improve focus and attention, personalized routines and habit-building strategies, movement and engagement-based learning, and strength-based approaches. Parent coaching and at-home support strategies are included, so you receive practical guidance for supporting learning between sessions.
Life skills coaching builds the practical tools students need for independence. We cover time management, organization, note-taking, study habits, goal setting, self-advocacy, and social-emotional and communication skills. We also help older students explore their interests and goals through resume creation, interview preparation, and finding volunteer, internship, and job opportunities aligned with their strengths.
We provide full curriculum design and instruction, 1:1 personalized sessions, and structured learning plans tailored to your child. Importantly, we provide the teaching and guidance during sessions, so you do not have to carry the full weight of planning on your own. You receive weekly progress reports and updates plus bi-annual progress reports with portfolio documentation.
